Completed in
1893, Camp
Santanoni
is widely acclaimed as one of the grandest of the original Adirondack Great
Camps. Its 12,500 acres contain over 45 buildings, including an impressive
artist's studio, and the largest self-sufficient farm ever associated with a
family estate in the
Adirondacks.
Camp
Santanoni
was built by Anna and Robert Pruyn, a prominent financier who was well connected
in the business, political and social life of New York
State.
President Theodore Roosevelt was among the Pruyn's many distinguished and
regular visitors.
Though
renowned for its rustic architecture, we imagine the Pruyns and their guests
enjoyed cocktails and heady conversation on one of the many interconnected
porches at Camp
Santanoni.
We hope this specialty collection captures the spirit of those heady days and
helps you entertain in grand
Adirondack
style!
