Firepit Turkey Meatloaf

Well Dressed Food Firepit Grilling Sauce Turkey Meatloaf

This is our favorite meatloaf recipe. The best thing is that no one will know that you used ground turkey instead of ground beef! Our Firepit Grilling Sauce gives it great flavor and keeps it very moist. You can usually find Panko in the bread or international sections of most grocery stores, but if you can’t, just substitute fresh bread crumbs. Enjoy!.

Ingredients:
1 medium yellow onion, chopped
2 red bell peppers, seeded and chopped
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 1/2 pounds ground turkey
1 bottle Firepit Grilling Sauce
2 large eggs, beaten
1 cup Panko (Japanese Break Crumbs)
1/4 cup fresh flat leaf parsley, chopped

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Heat olive oil over medium heat in a large sauté pan. Add onions, peppers, salt and pepper and cook for 15 minutes (until onions and peppers are soft and translucent). Cool.

In a large mixing bowl, combine turkey, cooled pepper/onion mixture, 3⁄4 cup of Firepit Grilling Sauce, eggs, Panko and parsley. Stir together until just combined (don’t overmix). Place on a sheet pan and form into a loaf. Spread remaining Firepit Grilling Sauce over the meatloaf.

Bake for 1 1/2 hours. Cool for 15 minutes before serving.
